Jim Kavanagh’s Art School, established some years ago is located by the scenic shores of Lough Corrib, 13km north of Galway City. Students come from far and wide to attend the art classes. Jim has been painting for over twenty years, and has several years experience of lecturing at third level before becoming a fulltime established artist. His work is in private and corporate collections in various countries, and he exhibits regularly in Ireland and abroad.

The Art School offers morning and evening art classes for adults. The classes are run in a custom built, warm and friendly art school next to Jim’s studio. Students are taught drawing and a variety of painting skills. Classes are kept small for quality tuition. The classes are meant to be fun while at the same time there is a strong emphasis on learning. Some art history is also included in the classes. Weekend workshops are held during the summer.
