Happy Feet Playschool opened its doors in September 2011, we are located at Knockroe, Castlerea next door to the' Health Centre'. We cater for children aged 2yrs and 6 months - 5yrs.Our opening hours are Monday-Friday 9.30a.m. -12.30p.m.We have the ECCE scheme in place which entitles eligable children to their free preschool year. We are continuously trying to improve our childcare service and this year we added a new playroom to our service. We are very excited to introduce our new Tiny Tots room catering for children ages 2years and 6months up to 3years and 6months with a max. capacity of 10 children. Our Tiny Tots room aims to provide an inclusive and stimulating environment for your child; while taking a holistic approach to each child’s individual stage of development. From developing their verbal communication skills to growing and retaining lots of information in order to form ideas, our curriculum based service aims to help children develop into well balanced, content and confident little people. Our staff are happy to work alongside parents/guardians in order to ensure your child is reaching their maximum potential in all areas of their development including children’s transition to toilet training, nappy changing facilities are available. At Happy Feet we understand the importance of smooth transitions and so we welcome parents/guardians to leave their child in our service for short periods of time one week before your child starts with us. This settling in period allows you and your child to familiarise yourselves with the playschool, our staff and the children. The settling in period is at your convenience before the commencement date and is offered free of charge. In our opinion quality childcare and early education are both critically important in early childhood and so we strive to provide both in a fun, safe and stimulating environment.
