This course is a family run business. Opened in 1984 by the Ryan family, the course has been maintained and developed over the years to a very high standard. It has attracted visitors and players of every age and skill, from every corner of Ireland and from overseas.
When Limerick was selected to host Special Olympics Ireland in 2010, it was the Glenside, Murroe because of its excellence which was chosen for the Pitch and Putt competitions section. This event attracted many well known alkies’ from the GAA and the Rugby world.
The course has been used on occasion to support good causes e.g. fund- raising for famine-stricken Somalia, for the Oncology department, Mid-Western Regional Hospital, Limerick etc.
