Fountainstown is a village in County Cork, Ireland, situated some 23 km south of Cork city. It is a seaside town with impressive views of Ringabella and Roche's Point.Places of interest The coast road between Fountainstown and Myrtleville is a popular promenade. Five minutes from the town centre is Fountainstown house, an impressive stately home which was originally built by the Roche's, a Norman family who appear to have acquired the lands of Fountainstown in the 15th or 16th century. Fountainstown Pitch and Putt course (which is reputed to be the oldest in Ireland).
