F_Festival 3.48

On March 12th a collection of iconic venues around Dublin will play host to an ecclectic and broad spectrum array of Irish female artists. Focusing on mediums such as Art, Music, Film, Spoken Word, Comedy and Discussions. F_Festival's main objective is to highlight inequality within the arts community with a showcase from some of Ireland's brightest female talent. An open door policy will be in place at each venue and admission to each event will be completely FREE. Venues include Hangar, The Grand Social, Wigwam, Film Base and Sweeneys.


The festival will commence with a series of relative and topical discussions kicking off at 12pm. As the festival meanders through the day festival goers will be given the opportunity to walk around our glorious city and visit our venues to basque in the many shows, concerts, films, and exhibitions we have on offer.


The evening events will see a shift from art to music as the Grand Social opens it's doors and will host a number of female acts including Naoise Roo, I'm Your Vinyl, Laura Ann Brady, Contour, Swords, Twin Headed Wolf, and Spines and will be followed by a blistering set from Ireland's top female Dj Kelly Ann-Byrne (Today fm, TXFM) with many more to be announced.
