Details

Donegal Gaeltacht Riding Club is a member of the Association of Irish Riding Clubs (AIRC) – http://www.airc.ie.

The AIRC is split into regions, and we are affiliated to the Western Region. The Western Region covers western counties from Donegal to Clare. There are 20 clubs in the region. We hold our own shows, training, ride outs, etc. and attend shows, etc. held by other clubs in the region, and National Competitions.

We are based in Falcarragh, Co. Donegal, but hold shows, training, ride outs, etc. in various parts of the county and beyond. We take part in show jumping, flatwork, cross country, hacking and more. We meet regularly and try to provide members with what they want from the club.

Men and women compete equally in AIRC, but we are graded by ability. Safety comes first – of rider and horse! Horse riding is a risk sport. The AIRC rule book must be adhered to: AIRC Rules and Regulations 2012

We always welcome new members. You don’t have to do show jumping to join, or even have your own horse. We have a lot of fun in the club, and enjoy equestrianism together. Individuals must be aged 17 years or above to join.

2015 Membership of Donegal Gaeltacht Riding Club is €80 (€40 for non-riding members).
