Occupational Therapy focuses on helping children reach their maximum potential. Through intervention an Occupational Therapist can help children develop the life skills needed to fully participate in school and at home.

Occupational therapy focuses on the following areas of development, handwriting skills, fine motor skills, gross motor skills, visual motor and visual perception skills, cognitive abilities, sensory motor processing,early intervention and activities of daily living.

At Darling Buds we have a large occupational therapy room solely dedicated to supporting children who may have additional needs. We offer individual assessments for children aged 2-12 years. After the child's goals are agreed, intervention is planned and implemented.

Our Occupational Therapist is fully qualified and a member of CORU and AOTI, (The Association Of Occupational Therapists Of Ireland)

It can be an emotional time for parents when they realize their child needs support and it can be hard to know where to turn. Sometimes children need a little extra help and support to perform their everyday occupations such as playing, learning, engaging with friends and family and school life and we are on hand to help.
