The premises has won many major awards in both the food and drinks industry since opening, noteably capturing the overall title of "Pub of the Year" in the Black & White awards in 2002 shortly after opening.

It has been reviewed favourably by many food writers and crictics since then and has been listed in The Irish Times "Ireland's Top 100 Restaurants"... The Bridgestone Guide....Georgina Campbell's "Good Food Guide" and most recently is one of only 24 pubs in Ireland to be listed in the 2013 Michelin "Eating Out In Pubs" Food Guide for the UK and Ireland.

Food is served from opening hours daily which are from 4pm until 9.30pm Monday to Friday and from 12.30 to 9.30pm Saturday and Sunday.

An extensive A La Carte lunch menu is available on both Saturday and Sunday from 12.30 - 4pm and also offers the "Full Irish Breakfast" for those looking for some comfort food over the weekend.

Weekly entertainment features live music, quizes and weekend DJ's at various times throughout the year with up to date details listed in our Events and Entertainment section.

The premises also has a large all weather beer garden, complete with plasma screens and pool tables, ideal to catch the games or relax with your friends in comfortable and heated surroundings, and perfect for that after dinner drink.
