County Wexford Youth Dance Company was formed by Myriad Dance, Wexford in 2001 as part of a larger scale Youth Dance Programme for Co Wexford, run in collaboration with the Arts Department, Wexford County Council.This programme continued with county council involvement until 2014.

In it's 13 yrs history, young talented dancers from all over Co Wexford of 12yrs-22yrs of age, came together in a 2/3hr weekly class and demonstrated an excellent ability to understand the key concepts involved in dance performance & choreography.
Core to the heart of the CWYDC dance experience, was the making of NEW original choreography on a yearly basis. They were also involved in making dance films & with several Sonraigh Youth Dance Festivals 2007/2008/2010/2012.
In 2011, CWYDC produced 'Off Your Trolley' , directed by Terence White which was selected to screen at the reknowned Loikka Dance Film Festival , Helsinki, Finland to great acclaim.
CWYDC is proud to have worked with an array of superb guest dance artists, locally and nationally over its 13yr history - Deirdre Grant, Brid Malone, Jessica Kennedy, Mary Nunan, Aine Stapleton, Monika Bieniek, Tim O Donnell, Sheila Creevey, Joke Verlinden, Becci Whelan, Orla Shine to name but a few.
