"Teach Coll" is a long established family run public house in the North West Donegal Gaeltacht of Magheroarty.Magheroarty is among one the most scenic places on the coast line of Ireland.

"Teach Coll" overlooks the pier, the magnificent Magheroarty Beach, Inisboffin and Tory Island with Muckish and Errigal in the distance. A warm and welcoming atmosphere is provided by the Gaelic Speaking proprietor and his family. They will be happy to teach you a "cupla focal".

The pub was established around 1900 by James Coll, the proprietors grandfather. The name "Teach Coll" originates from this, meaning the house of Coll. The Pub is presently run by the fourth generation of the family.

Entertainment is mainly scheduled for the weekend with live local musicians and card play on Friday .

LOCAL ATTRACTIONS
The pub is situated in an area of great natural beauty with stunning views from the car park. The beach provides a multitude of opportunities for watersports enthusiasts and long leisurely walks. It has also held an event for the last few years called Loinnir which is the closing event of the "Errigal arts festival".

A regular ferry service from the pier, a two minute walk from the pub, will take visitors to Tory Island. Muckish and Errigal mountains are very popular with hill walkers approx. a 20 minute drive from the pub, on the way Glenveagh National park and Ionad Cois Locha are well worth a visit.

Each year Gael Linn bring around 600 students to learn Irish into the area in the summer months which provides a great boost to the local community.
