Riverchapel & Courtown CFR 3.57

We are a group of volunteers from the local community who are dedicated to helping people in emergency cardiac situations. Ambulance response times are longer in rural areas, and the first 10 minutes are the most important in a cardiac arrest situation. We aim to be on call 24/7/365 to assist the NAS in helping to keep people alive while waiting for paramedics.
Our responders will all be fully trained and insured to HSE standards and are certified by the PHECC (Pre-Hospital Emergency Care Council).
We are always looking for Volunteers to increase the amount of service we can provide.

All training is provided by CFR and the National Ambulance Service, so all a volunteer needs is some free time
18 or above and an interest in helping others.

The calls we could get dispatched to are:
cardiac arrest
heart-attacks
strokes
breathing difficulties
choking
