We use Sacred Sound to harmonize our physical and spiritual beings and to promote positivity, relaxation and good health. The sounds created by the Gongs and Himalayan Singing Bowls etc. have tones and overtones which can be felt in every cell of the body. During a Sound Healing session, our breathing and brain waves become regulated, producing a deep sense of peace and well being. Bathing in sacred sound allows us to powerfully resonate with the frequencies that allow us to heal on all levels. Sound Healing enables us to enter into deep meditative states, recharging the body, strengthening the nervous system and most importantly, reconnecting us to the Divine.

Gongs date back to the Bronze Age @3500BC and although most usually associated with Tibet and China where Monks used them in meditation, there is evidence that we were gonging here in Ancient Ireland too. A beautiful gold alloy gong dating back to the Bronze Age, was found during an archaeological excavation at Emhain Macha Co. Armagh.

Ireland is particularly noted for its collection of Bronze Age horns which were played using circular breathing techniques and were capable of producing a wide range of harmonics, tones and overtones. These were undoubtedly used for healing as well as ceremonial purposes.
