Cavan County Enterprise Board (Cavan CEB) launched the Cavan Business Women's Club (CBWC) in May 2013 at a high profile event attended by 150 business women from County Cavan.

The CBWC was launched by Anna May McHugh, Business Woman of the Year 2013 and Managing Director of the National Ploughing Championships, an event that attracts in excess of 189,000 visitors annually.
Also at the launch was RTE’s Dragon’s Den panellist, Ramona Nicholas founder of the Cara Pharmacy Group.

Cavan female entrepreneur - Ann Rudden of Aine’s Handmade Chocolates, a finalist in the 2011 National Enterprise Awards also spoke at the Launch.

Master of Ceremonies for the evening was Orlaith Carmody of mediatraining.ie, an ex RTE journalist, presenter and currently a member of the Board of RTÉ.

And Marcella Rudden, Business Adviser, Cavan County Enterprise Board also spoke at the launch

The Cavan Business Women’s Club is coordinated by communications expert Margaret McKeon-Boyle of Extensive PR who, with the Cavan CEB, ensures an exciting line-up of guest speakers and empowering workshops for the Club members.
