The Camps
• Our Camps: The camps run during the school holidays. We have developed an appropriate camp run by professional paediatric therapists. While the emphasis will be on fun and enjoyment, the camp programme will address common therapeutic goals for the children through appropriate play, artistic and physical therapy.
• Staff: The staff will consist of a combination of qualified paediatric occupational therapists along with experienced Special Needs Assistants. Other professionals with relevant experience in the area of paediatric intellectual disabilities may also be employed from time to time.
• Staff to child Ratio: There will be a minimum of 1 staff to every 2 children in the camp at all times.
• Child Protection Policies: Comprehensive child protection policies are in place. All staff are trained in all aspects of child protection. We also insist that Garda clearance be obtained for all staff.
