Bansha held its first show in 1956.
It has developed into an important local enterprise encompassing all sections of the community both young and old, embodying the concept "One Happy Family", as expressed by the late John Canon Hayes, founder of Muintir na Tire.

Canon John Hayes along with other parish members formed the Bansha Show Society in 1956. The Show has developed through the years thanks to the voluntary work of the local committee and members of the show who continuously support this tradition in Bansha, County Tipperary.

This is an Agriculture and Industrial show with a variety of exhibits from Cattle, Ponies, Horses, Sheep, Fruit, Flowers, Vegetables, Home Crafts, Agriculture Vehicles as well as Fancy Dress Competitions for the children and a Dog Show which is also a major attraction. A large marquee is established each year for the fruit, vegetables, flowers, baking, crafts and photographs.
