Ballyburden Meats Processing Ltd and its sister company O’Crualaoí The Butchers are over 50 years trading in the meat industry. The business has grown since its inception and that growth has been built on a dedication to quality. The company’s mission statement, “to ensure the highest level of customer satisfaction through the provision of meat products that are of the highest quality standard in terms of flavour, succulence and tenderness” has stood the test of time.
The slaughtering and processing plants are based in Ballincollig, Co. Cork. The company’s commitment to excellence begins with the selection of only the finest quality livestock, mainly chosen from the herds that graze around County Cork. We slaughter the animals in a state of the art premises, operated by highly qualified craftsmen. These carcasses are then dry aged in optimum conditions to ensure exquisite flavour and tenderness. Finally, the carcasses are processed to the required specification of the customer to ensure the product is always 100% as the customer desires.
We are registered with the Food Safety Authority of Ireland in conjunction with the Veterinary Department of Cork County Council. We operate a Food Safety Management System, which incorporates HACCP, and comply with all relevant food safety legislation. Our premises is often used by outside organisations such as the Health Service Executive, Failte Ireland, University College Cork and the Veterinary Department of Cork County Council for training purposes.
The company’s product range includes over 200 items with the main categories of beef, pork/bacon, lamb and poultry with the ability to source specific requirements, including organic and free range product, and develop value added products as required. We operate a fleet of our own refrigerated vans to ensure prompt delivery of product and also operate an emergency delivery service when required by our customers. Our dedication to customer service is reflected in our tele-ordering system and a dedicated customer service department. Our sales team are equally highly qualified and have an expertise built up with on the job experience.
