Avoca Montessori School Avoca and Arklow Montessori offers bright spacious child-friendly classrooms that support the fulfilment of each child’s greatest potential. Our focus is on developing children’s social and emotional skills to assist them to become more confident and independent through fun through learning. The Montessori approach allows each child to work at their own pace and follow their own interests, which helps instill a love of learning and a strong sense of curiosity. As a way of including parents we email all lesson plans home in advance.
All staff are Montessori qualified and have also completed Fetec level 6 and /or 8 in Early Childhood Development, while the owner Lorraine McConnell is Montessori qualified, she also holds a level 8 BA (Hons) Degree in Early Childhood Eduation and is completing a Masters Degree in Education at Trinity College. We like to feel that the children and families benefit from the bank of knowledge, experience and expertise of our combined staff.
