A graduate of Ireland's first Chinese Studies degree program from University College Cork, Anthony has spent several years living in the Chinese cities of Shanghai and Hangzhou. He has had the privilege of studying with great practitioners like Martin Fitzgerald, director of the Acupuncture Council of Ireland, Fan Bianhua, doctor to Chinese Olympic athletes, and Feng Ninghan, one of the world's few masters of the Nine Palace technique. He received his training both in Ireland and China, where he graduated from Zhejiang Chinese Medical University. Anthony has wide-ranging Chinese medical experience, including Jin Three Needle and Nine Palace Acupuncture techniques, along with pediatric tuina, Chinese medical nutrition and extensive practical experience gained in Chinese hospitals where he worked for fifteen months treating stroke, Parkinson's, MS, cerebral palsy, infertility, spinal issues, sports injuries, cosmetic/weight loss acupuncture, pediatric issues and many others. When not at home in Kerry, Anthony practises aboard cruise ships, treating hundreds of patients for a wide variety of ailments; primarily pain conditions, but Anthony also treats a lot of insomnia, seasickness, neuropathy, skin conditions and digestive complaints. He specialises in a painless needling technique, and all his needles are sterile and single-use only.
