Agri-needs was formed in January 1991 at Emmet Street Birr Co. Offaly. Its aim was to provide innovative products that added value to farming at competitive prices. Originally the area we serviced was north Tipperary, south Offaly and east Galway however this changed and expanded overtime.

The corner stone of the business was its service. Farmers rewarded us for this service by supporting our business and as a result expansion followed.

In 1997 we had out grown our limited space in Emmet Street Birr and we moved to a new premises on the Roscrea Road. Business continued to progress and we expanded our territory to include Laois, Limerick and Westmeath.

In 2001 after the outbreak of foot and mouth we received the opportunity to locate our business at Birr Co-operative Livestock Mart. Setting up in the heart of the farmers market has added a further stimulus to the business. Today we occupy a purpose built premises in the mart. We supply goods and services throughout Leinster and further afield.

We have the advantage of being ideally located in the centre of Ireland which means that we can cater to a broad spectrum of customers as we offer a next day delivery service.
