The Story Behind Good Vibes

Good Vibes Bungalow was inspired by the idea of a backpacker wanting the hostel vibe but with the comfort of their own room. As a traveller everyone wants to meet other people and gain those valuable relationships while being in a different part of the world. As much fun as sharing a hostel room with a dozen people can be, most of us want a private place for themselves with close friends or a special someone to relax after a long day. We strive to make an experience to remember with new friends and comfortable accommodation.

Good Vibes offers newly built tropical island style bungalows made with wood and bamboo. The rooms all consist of new furniture including soft beds to sleep on at night. Each room has its own furnished balcony to relax on alone or with a few friend. We strongly encourage you during your visit to sit at the bar or in the garden and join other travellers over a drink or two. Get the guitar out or possibly a deck of cards for a drinking game. This is a place to make friends and possible travel partners as you continue your journey.

We are conveniently located only a 5 minute walk (400m) from the harbour when you arrive. The beach, night market and the centre of Gili T are a short stroll away. All the main party spots are an easy stumble away but far enough that it will not disturb your sleep. The most special feature of our location is the hill is right behind the property making it easy to access the most beautiful view of all three islands from above. Then by walking down the others side you are in the best viewing area for the famous sunset. The sunset can be best viewed by a 20 to 30 minute walk away or you can rent a bike and it’s just a quick easy ride from Good Vibes. For those want complete relaxation can also take a horse cart, locally known as a Chimodo, to reach any location on the island including the sunset.

We will make sure to make your time on Gili T worry free by helping you get familiarized with the island. Also we will offer you advice on the best places to drink, eat and party during your stay. We are all friends at Good Vibes and we want you to leave with a memorable experience. Our local staff can speak both English and Bahasa Indonesian.

The bungalows opened March 2016 so are brand new. As a new place we plan to continue improving all aspects of the property. The idea is to make all backpacker/travellers comfortable both in their rooms and in the common outdoor areas.
