NOW BREWING: DJOURNAL COFFEE

Djournal Coffee is Djakarta-based coffee purveyor committed to brewing the best coffees available. At Djournal, Coffee is king—but it’s still the relationships with their loyal customers (aka 'Djournalists') and their passion for coffee that really keeps them going.

Djournal Coffee aspires that for all 'Djournalists', if their house was their first home and their work was their second home, all Djournal establishments would be known to be their 'third home' where they can collect a smile and daily memorable experiences. The memorable experiences are an accumulation from the coffee, barista, and the whole ambience. In Djournal, customers can enjoy various coffees with different brewing method; cakes and pastries; and also choices of main course. Djournal Coffee’s interior is designed to create a homey and down-to-earth ambiance; a reminder that coffee is a product from earth that is always grounded and humble.

Djournal Coffee has two separate coffee bars: Hand-Brewed Coffee Bar and Espresso Bar. The Hand-Brewed Bar features several single origins coffee choices (Toraja, Wamena, Enrekang) and three kind of brewing methods: siphon, pour over, and cold drip. Each method brings out a different taste and experience for coffee lovers. Syphon coffee is light and aromatic; pour over is for those who love a flavorful and clean cup coffee; and cold drip is a perfect choice for cold black coffee drinkers, which has a low acidity and sweetness to it. Meanwhile, the Espresso Bar provides all the espresso-based coffee options: espresso, cappuccino, latte, coffee blended, and so on. Djournal also has its own house blend, called the Djournal Daily, which consists of various origins in Indonesia.

Indonesia, the land of various coffees–from Sumatera, Java, Sulawesi, to Papua–has excellent-quality coffee beans that are very well known in the global coffee market. The country deserves a good and proper coffee brewing as the latest step in the growth of the coffee chain industry, from seed to cup, and that is why Djournal Coffee was created: to provide good coffee for good people, in the proper way.
