ŐRI NÁNDOR BÉLYEGESTÉGLA GYŰJTEMÉNYE

Dombóvár ősfás parkjában, a Szigeterdőben található az eredetileg a 13. században épült, a régészeti feltárás után 2005-ben újjáépített, ma kiállítóhelyként működő „Lakótorony”. A feltárás során az épület mellett a régészek megtalálták településünk első ismert téglaégetőjének nyomát is.

Itt, a lakótorony második szintjén került elhelyezésre Őri Nándor dombóvári építőmester téglagyűjteménye, amely a több száz darab építőelemen
keresztül mutatja be az egykori hazai kézivetésű téglagyártás nyomat-motívumvilágát. A kiállításon fotók, dokumentumok, eszközök segítségével a látogatók megismerhetik az egykori dombóvári téglagyárak- és az azokat létrehozó és működtető családok történetét, munkáját is.

A Lakótorony harmadik szintjén továbbra is a Szigeterdőben található, az Első Felelős Magyar Kormány tagjait ábrázoló "Kossuth-szoborcsoport" történetét és alkotójának Horvay Jánosnak a munkásságát tekinthetik meg egy installációs kiállítás keretében.

Az épületet Dombóvár Város Önkormányzata bocsátotta a téglagyűjtemény rendelkezésére.

A belépés ingyenes, előzetes bejelentkezés a 30/ 610 68 48-as telefonszámon, vagy üzenetben itt a facebook-oldalon keresztül.

A torony minden hónap első szombati napján 10-től 12-ig, valamint ünnepnapokon , így március 15-én, augusztus 20-án, október 6-án, illetve a Város Napján (április 1.) és a Múzeumok Éjszakáján előzetes bejelentkezés nélkül is látogatható.

THE MARKED BRICK COLLECTION OF NÁNDOR ŐRI

In Szigeterdő, the park of Dombóvár, with ancient trees, the “Residential Tower” can be found. Originally it was built in the 13th century and after the archaeological excavations it was reconstructed in 2005. Today it is an exhibition space. During the excavations archaeologists found the first known brick burning site of our settlement next to the building.

Here, on the second floor of the Residential Tower, you can find the brick collection of Nándor Őri, master builder of Dombóvár. Hundreds of construction elements display the onetime motif prints of the inland handmade brick production. Visitors can learn the today discontinued history of brickworks and families who operated them with the help of photos, documents and old tools.

On the third floor of the Residential Tower visitors can get to know the history of the Kossuth group of statues about the First Responsible Hungarian Government. Originally it was in Budapest, today the statues can be found in Szigeterdő. Through the installation exhibition visitors can also learn about János Horvay’s lifework, the creator of the statues.

The building of the Residential Tower was put at the disposal of the brick collection by the the Local Government of Dombóvár.

The Residential Tower can be visited without previous announcement on feast days like 15th March, 6th October, Day of the Town (1st April) and the Night of Museums.
