Hi, I'm Manuela Esther. My roots are half German, half Cuban and I have been living in Budapest since the end of the 1980's. My original profession is fine artist/painter, but my passion is cooking and hosting people. Because of my artistic background, the aesthetic of my location is bohemian and intimate - in the summer I serve meals in a cozy hidden garden. I'm not a great lover of Hungarian cuisine, so I craft meals with Italian and Caribbean influences, along with some Hungarian elements. As for me, I have an open mind and mouth - sometimes a bit too much of both! I would love to cook for you. I promise you will find delicious soulfood that is artfully prepared, like a still life painting: a feast for the eyes, body, and soul.
