The Roma Parliament and its institutions have been doing outstanding work for the Roma community and for the information on Roma since 1991. The Roma Parliament houses several institutions in the common space. Amaro Drom, the network of journalists, published a magazine on Roma issues and spread information on the minority until its support was cut, The Legal Advocacy Office successfully offered legal assistance to Roma and thus contributed substantially to the good co-existence of Roma and non-Roma, and to this day, and the János Balázs Gallery. The NGO is lead by Jenő Zsigó.
Though support for the Roma Parliament Association was cut after the change of government in 2010, it continued its activities by own means. There is no space like the Roma Parliament in Hungary, and preserving its institutions and galleries is crucial for Budapest.
