Stockton is a restaurant and bar tucked away right in the heart of Central. At Stockton, we have recreated the halcyon days of the 1890s London, when life moved at a slower pace and the fortunate lived life to a remarkably high standard of living. Stockton is wood paneled and full of classic furniture, art, antiques and historical artifacts sourced from markets in Paris.

Stockton is an escape from the humdrum of Lan Kwai Fong and Central. Conversation is highly valued and privacy guaranteed. Stockton is open to all and everyone and is not a private members venue. Stockton accepts reservations for both dinner and libations.

Stockton has an unusual range of cocktails that are a historical journey back to the origin of the three core spirits that were the mainstay of the day. In 1800s, rum was arriving on trade clippers from the Caribbean, whisky was being produced in Scotland and Ireland and gin production had moved from Holland to England in full force. Our cocktails are a re-interpretation of libatons that were featured at this time with one that even dates back to 1475, the Athole Brose.

The bar team is made up by the creators and talented mixologists at Maximal Concepts that won the Tatler’s Best Cocktail award in Hong Kong, 2013 at Blue Butcher. To make your experience more unique, we barrel age and leather age our own spirits at Stockton.

Stockton also has a collection of over 150 whiskies from Scotland, Ireland, America and Japan. Our knowledgeable barmen offer guests to go on a journey through regions and ages, such as the five regions of Scotland, Highlands, Islay, Cambeltown, Lowlands and Speyside.

Stockton is currently open from 6pm to late Monday to Saturday

Sassy Hong Kong June 2016 - "You can drink whisky in a bathtub, on a train or even on the corner of D'Aguilar St on a Saturday night, but one of the best places to do it is at Stockton, inspired by the decadence of 1890s Europe, and is conveniently smack bang in the middle of the city."

Time Out Hong Kong 2014 - Bar of the Fortnight, “We salute this British bar of times gone by!”

HK Magazine 2014 - “The food to go with your tipple is just as good as the curated selection of drinks… Stockton’s the current hottest bar in town.”

HK Tatler Feb 2014 - "The island’s latest speakeasy-style venue, Stockton , is modelled on the hidden opulence of London social clubs at the turn of the 20th century."

Crave Feb 2014 - "Bask in the luxury of the turn-of-century London in this gentlemen’s club-inspired hideaway."

Lifestyle Asia, Feb 2014 - "Once again, Maximal Concepts has added another hip and original restaurant-bar to Hong Kong’s dining scene that’s not only worth raving about, but returning to. We’ll certainly be back, as long as we can find the door."

Sassy HK Feb 14 – “Overall Stockton makes for another tres trendy bolthole from Maximal Concepts. Its cool concept and exclusive ambience is pretty unique in Hong Kong – the cocktails are well thought out and they clearly have some skilled mixologists at work! The food is also strong enough to stand on its own (we’ve heard they will be adding more dishes soon too!), so Stockton really does tick all the boxes for a cool night out. Like all the best secrets, this is one that you just won’t be able to keep to yourself!”
