The City University of Hong Kong School of Creative Media (SCM) was founded in 1998 to nurture a new generation of interdisciplinary artists and creative media professionals, and to develop new ideas and technologies for the creative industries in Hong Kong, mainland China and abroad. State-of-the-art teaching and research facilities are brought together in a unique architectural setting designed by Daniel Libeskind that is a hub for innovation and discovery in Asia.

SCM students are trained across disciplines spanning computer science, fine arts, visual design, creative writing, cultural studies and digital technology; a pedagogy that bridges the boundaries between art and science and integrates traditional and new media. The school values applied creativity, cultural awareness, and critical thinking as much as business sense and entrepreneurial success.
SCM's internationally recruited faculty members are amongst the foremost artists and researchers in the field, and they bring a global perspective to the school.
