At LPCUWC divide our work into three major areas – training facilitators, organizing the Day Camps and the Annual Conference.

Training Facilitators: We put in great effort in training our members so that they are well equipped with skills to facilitate Conflict Management & Resolution activities of Day Camps and the Annual Conference.

The Day Camps: In the Day Camps that we host, local students from schools in Hong Kong are exposed to basic Conflict Management & Resolution ideas with which they can apply in their daily lives.

The Hong Kong Diversity Youth Summit (HKDYS), is a 5 day summit held at Li Po Chun United World College of Hong Kong. The Initiative for Peace group spends the academic year preparing and planning for this conference, and at the end of the year, holds a conference calling together local Hong Kong students of various ethnicities to come together to engage in activities, discussions, as well as to meet new people!

The main focus of this year’s theme is: Diversity in Hong Kong. Participants will be attending talks, looking deeper into the issues that underlie diversity in Hong Kong such as whether Hong Kong is truly “Asia’s World City?” as well as much more. Participants will get to plan and conduct surveys regarding this issue, and at the end of the 5 days, come up with an “action plan” to tackle these issues within their own communities.

The Hong Kong Diversity Youth Summit aims to bring together youth in Hong Kong to make an active, progressive change – whether it be throughout all of Hong Kong, or within their community.

The selection process is divided into two parts: first, based off applicants online applications, applicants are then invited to contribute to the second stage of application, in which we aim to learn more about the applicant. Application forms and other necessary material can be found on the website: https://hkdys.wordpress.com/
