City Kids Preschool & Playgroup Hong Kong 3.26

City Kids is an Early Years Centre that operates a playgroup for children between the ages of 10 months and 2.8 years and a preschool for children between the ages of 2.8 years and 5 years. The operation of these programmes is guided by our "learn through play" philosophy, under which play is fundamental to the safe, happy and healthy development of young children as they begin their early years education.

At City Kids we nurture our students’ innate curiosity and lay the foundation for a life long love of learning. We believe that children who develop strong levels of confidence and social, emotional and practical life skills in their early years are most successful both in preschool and later in life.

We also believe that teachers, children, and parents all play important roles in the educational process. City Kids is renowned for its active parent involvement and strong sense of community.

Our playgroup is staffed by Playgroup Supervisors. Our supervisors are nurturing, caring and community focused who are regularly supported with in-house training and professional development.

In the preschool we have qualified, registered and experienced early years teachers in every classroom. City Kids is committed to the recruitment and retention of experienced teachers who have had their training endorsed by the “Hong Kong Council for Accreditation for Academic and Vocational Qualifications” (HKCAAVQ). Supporting our teachers in the classrooms are either qualified co-teachers or educational assistants. We strive to ensure a maximum adult to child ratio of 1:8 in each classroom.
