聖類斯中學 4.26

聖類斯中學（Saint Louis School）是一所津貼英文中學。位於香港西營盤第三街179號，佔地面積約10,000平方米。於1864年創立，1927年由天主教鮑思高慈幼會接辦，目前隸屬鮑思高慈幼會中華會省。校徽與校訓聖類斯中學校徽底色純白象徵學生身心純潔，中央紅色十字架代表耶穌基督的博愛、犧牲和服務的精神。分懸於十字兩側的「S」和「L」是 Saint Louis 的簡寫。十字架下的一本書上寫有希臘字母首尾兩字：A（Alpha）與 Ω（Omega），教導學生追求真理要矢志不渝，做事有始有終。校徽底部的拉丁文 Scientia et Pietas（學識與虔敬）則是聖類斯中學的校訓，訓示同學要學識與虔敬並重。 辦學宗旨：提供一個愉快，靈、德、智、體、群、美六育並重的教育。校歌St Louis School School Song All Hail! All Hail!Salesian School to thee!By time endeared the more, our hearts shall ever ever loyal beto thee and friends of yore, and memories that shall never never fadewherever we may roam, shall rivet fast the friendships madein youth at boyhood's home.Long live our Alma Mater!On thee may blessings rain, and may thy sons hereafterbring honour to thy name.Refrain:Saint Louis School, guide of our youth,we are loyal to you in faith and truth.Saint Louis School, guide of our youth,we are loyal to you in faith and truth.All Hail!歷史1864年，一群天主教神父在香港島西營盤區建立了一所名為「養正院」的學校，由一位華籍神司梁神父（M.Leong）主管，為西區的窮苦子弟及街童提供正規工藝教育。「養正院」後來改名為「西環教導所」 ，由天主教米蘭外方傳教會管理，1875年至1893年由喇沙修士會接辦，1921年至1927年曾由瑪利諾神父辦理，於1927年終交由鮑思高慈幼會接辦，更名為「聖類斯工藝學院」。
