Our Farmhouse Taverna Katerina in the village Maroulas that can not be described in words - but must be experienced!
Michalis was born and raised here in this Venecian village House and has been living the traditonal farm life ever since -in close contact with nature and the animals at the farm
with sheeps -goats -chickens -rabbits -cats and dogs.
Michalis and his son Valandis welcomes you at this traditional wonderfull place -to enjoy the panoramic view of nature and the sea -a traditional dish made by Michalis sister Theodora.
Do you wish grilled meat then Valandis is the "Grill Master" When you let him know the day before.
We always have a smaller selection of dishes - Greek salad , tzatziki , homemade Greek meatballs -Stifado -and if you want to taste our own lamb -goats or rabbit meat -please let us know 1 day before.

How to find Farmhouse Taverna Katerina ?
There are 2 ways to Maroulas.The 1 way - 95% get lost . The other way -95% finds Taverna Katerina.
The other way is as follows : From the town of Platanias / BP / tavern Sky Park ( about 8 km east of Rethymnon ) Drive straight on - about 2 km towards the direction Arkadi monastery and just after Manos minimarket - turn right and follow signs for Maroulas - and after about 2 km drive - follow the path around of the tavern Milopetra at the villagesquare and follow the path to the great old Venetian tower and follow the road further 50 meters until you see our blue gate just down the path to the right . Otherwise ask the way to Katerina Taverna .

When are we open ?
Most hours most mostly we have a " siesta between 15:00 to 17:00 . Would you be absolutely sure that we are open (although the door is always open) call first! Landline Phone 2831071627
