Nataraja Yoga Center 4.2

Nataraja means “King of Dance” (Sanskrit nata = dance; raja = king). In this form, Shiva dances Anandatandava—the Dance of Bliss—symbolizing the cosmic cycles of creation and dissolution, as well as the dynamic universal energy.
The image is an assurance to us that we can live from our center and dance, celebrating life’s ups and downs, knowing that a part of us is connected to all the pulsations of time and space and that we can become masters of our own movements and action by liberating ourselves from the limitations of smallness.
Nataraja teaches us that we can be steady and joyful at our center while change happens around us.
