Mitrou Archaeological Project 2.81

The site of Mitrou is a small tidal islet located in the bay of Atalanti in East Lokris, Greece. According to Greek mythology and legend, the region of East Lokris was home to many magnificent figures such as Deucalion, Pyrrha, Atalante, Patroklos and Ajax the Lokrian. Archaeological research at Mitrou is revealing fascinating information about the ancient peoples and cultures that lived there.
