More specifically, it is located on the north-west coast of the peninsula of Akrotiri, an area known for its excellent dry climate and limpid atmosphere. The Hotel is 12 kilometers away from the airport and only 14 kilometers away from the cosmopolitan Old Town and Venetian Harbour of Chania. It occupies a land of 12.000 sq.m. and is surrounded by 400 meters of a wild rocky coast with crystal clear, sapphire blue water and two big rocky capes, “Kavos”, to which it owes its name; an ideal destination for daring divers or lucky fishermen!

For adventure lovers, the area lends itself for exploration of its natural beauty either by bike, car or even on foot, for those in good shape! 900 meters to the east, you will find the beautiful sandy beach of Stavros on the foot of the huge steep rock of Stavros, an idyllic scenery, where Antony Queen danced syrtaki in the most characteristic scene of the film “Zorbas, the Greek”, an adaptation of Kazantakis’ novel. 4 kilometers to the west, you will find the village of Chorafakia and from there you can easily get to the lovely sandy beach of Tersanas, which is next to another beautiful sandy beach, Maherida. From Chorafakia, you can also take the communal road that leads to two of the most important historical sites of Christianity in Crete, the Holy Monasteries of Agia Triada (Tsagarolon) and Gouverneto that surprises trekkers with its beautiful ravine leading to the crystal clear Aegean sea. 5 kilometers to the west again, there is the exotic sandy beach of Kalathas, which is a charming natural bay on the edge of a ravine, ideal for families with young children. 15 kilometers southwest of Kavos Hotel, you can enjoy two more lovely sandy beaches, Marathi, where you can also have lunch or dinner and Loutraki, which is mostly popular with young couples thanks to its beach bar that offers a panoramic view to the shimmering sea. Last but not least, 13 kilometers to the east, near the village of Chordaki, you will find a lost paradise, Seitan Limani, a pebbly beach that will compensate you for the trouble it takes to get there.
