Welcome to the luxurious Iphimedeia apartments and suites, named after the ancient beauty Iphimedeia, daughter of Triopas king of Thessaly.

Iphimedeia and her daughter Pancratis were brought to Naxos by Sicelus and Hecetorus, two Naxian pirates who abducted them during a Dionysian celebration.

As the two men were fighting over the heart of the beautiful Pancratis, they killed each other. Pancratis then married Agassamenus, the King of Naxos and Iphimedeia married his lieutenant. However, her heart belonged to Poseidon, the ancient Greek God of the Sea. She would go to the shore every day and poor water on her legs until the God came to her. The fruit of their romance was the birth of four sons.

Iphimedeia apartments and suites, surrounded by a serene olive garden and beautiful flowers in a peaceful atmosphere, is a subtle reminder of the green Thessalian fields, home of Iphimedeia. Our houses overlook the endless Aegean Sea, the place that sheltered the God's love for Iphimedeia. Finally, our grape vine is a tribute to the God of wine, Dionysus. In this romantic environment, the ancient love story comes to life.
