The trademark of Rhodes, GRANDE ALBERGO DELLE ROSE, Italian for Grand Hotel of Roses, began its brilliant way in history on the 24th of May in 1927. Rhodes had acquired one of its most historic and symbolic buildings. Buildings which their architects were of the philosophy… “to exude sun and to move as the waves of Aegean”.The HOTEL OF ROSES was christened the “Dream of the East”, as it became the top attraction of the international jet set of the time. Eleftherios Venizelos, Aristotle Onassis, Konstantinos Karamanlis, Georgios Papandreou, Winston Churchill and Moshe Dayan are but a few of the great names to have graced the halls of the hotel with their presence.
75 years later the revival took place. In May 2002 the gates of the Hotel of Roses reopened, fully renovated by the famous Italian architects and designers Giuseppe Molinari and Nicoletta Demolli, retaining all of its grandeur and splendor. The unique luxury is stretched out in each area of the hotel, the guests are aware of a discrete sense of style and they enjoy particular services from the first moment of their arrival.
