Ο εκθεσιακός Χώρος

Από το μικρασιατικό αυτό χωριό της Λήμνου, το Bymeli στοχεύει να γίνει μία διεθνής κυψέλη πολιτισμού. Ένας ζωντανός χώρος τέχνης και καλλιτεχνικής δημιουργίας, που θα λειτουργεί καθ' όλη τη διάρκεια του χρόνου διοργανώνοντας ποικίλες δράσεις σε συνεργασία με τοπικούς και διεθνείς παράγοντες των τεχνών. Φιλοδοξεί με αυτόν τον τρόπο να αποτελέσει ένα κοινό τόπο, έναν πόλο δημιουργικής αναζήτησης, μέσω της οποίας φιλτράρεται, αναδεικνύεται και προβάλλεται η σύγχρονη δημιουργία και ο σπουδαίος πολιτισμός του νησιού.

Το εργαστήριο
Το δημιουργικό εργαστήριο Bymeli συντηρεί, μεταποιεί και διαμορφώνει με μια ξεχωριστή και ιδιαίτερη αισθητική παλιά ελληνικά χειροποίητα έπιπλα και αντικείμενα. Ολα τα αντικείμενα ειναι αποτέλεσμα μιας πολύ προσεκτικής μελέτης συντήρησης και επεξεργασίας, προσαρμοσμένα στην σύγχρονες ανάγκες και στην minimal αισθητική.
Συνεργαζόμαστε με καταστήματα, εστιατόρια, μπαρ, επιχειρήσεις φιλοξενίας και ιδιώτες που ειναι λάτρεις του mix&match interior design, της μίνιμαλ vintage κουλτούρας, της επανάχρησης και κυρίως με υποστηρικτές της ελληνικής παραγωγής.

Art Space

The story begins in 2012, when Maria Koumianou decided to move away from the urban center of Athens, to situate herself permanently on the island of her ancestry- Limnos. Her desire to make use of her professional attributes-visual artist, art conservator and art curator- led her to create a place for conserving, creating and experimenting with vintage furniture and objects.

Three years later, she realizes that there is a great need for a center of creative thought on the island, therefore she opens her facilities for the creation of a hub, a center of imaginative thought, experimentation and creative expression on the island . From this small village on the island of Limnos, BYMELI aims to become an international center of culture. A lively art space, where experimentation and creative happenings will take place in collaboration with local and international visual artists.
BYMELI aspires to becoming a focal point of an on-going process, where one can participate in, and view the trends of modern culture and art emerging from the wonderful island of Limnos.
