"If you want an authentic, top quality experience of Greek island beauty and hospitality, this is your home. We've stayed here 7 times in 20 years and never been disappointed. It's the highlight of Europe trips for us. The Atlantis is a classic, small piece of perfection in its architecture and its placement with one of the finest views on the island as well as being right in the center of the town of Fira. The pebble swallow mosaic laid into the cobblestones at the entrance to the (mainly white marble) hotel promise what is to come as your local taxi pulls up right at the door, The hotel is a few FEET from: the most famous Greek island view in the world; the new exquisitely designed museum with priceless treasures from Akrotiri; good restaurants; fine shopping; and rooftop cafes where you can sit all day.

From the moment you enter the foyer, you'll find the staff welcoming, multilingual, loyal, efficient, knowledgeable, LOCAL, sophisticated, dedicated and friendly perfectionists. No request is too much. All rooms have spectacular views; finest are the rooms over the caldera. Rooms are impeccably clean, gracious, and comfortable without being pretentious. Classic understatement..Heaven is a (fresh local) breakfast on your balcony (or on the main floor balcony) overlooking the donkey paths, the white roofs of buildings clinging to the precipitous cliffs, and the ridiculously blue sea thousands of feet below.

One of the original and finest hotels on the island; owned continuously by an eminent, respected Santorini family and run by the same utterly dedicated and charming manager, Antonia Gyzi, for over 25 years (you'll be lucky to see her; she's always behind the scenes making everything look effortless)

No restaurant but who needs one with so many close by and good recommendations from the staff who know everyone in town and are honest.
