Μικρο Χωριο 4.02

"Mikro Horio" is Greek for "little village": individual lodges dotted over more than half an acre of land by the sea, under the thick shade of leafy trees and amongst aromatic herbs and flowers.

Both the studios and the one-bedroom bungalows offer comfortable, roomy spaces and fully equipped kitchens. Those looking for a relaxing winter retreat will find a fire in the hearth when they arrive.

In the grounds is the little chapel of the Holy Cross, where weddings and christenings can be held (Greek Orthodox rite). The central square in the "village" is ideal for a reception after the ceremony.

On the secluded beach, protected from the wind and next to the luminous blue water, there are straw umbrellas and deck chairs and sunbeds at your disposal. The beach is clean and loggerhead turtles (Caretta caretta) come here to lay their eggs. We show films and organise activities in collaboration with the association for the protection of sea turtles ARHELON. If you are lucky, you may even see the tiny turtles emerging from the sand and taking their very first steps towards the sea!

Vathy beach, where our little village is situated, is between Gytheio and Areopolis, 2 1/2 hours by car from Athens. The city of Sparta and the impressive Byzantine archaeological site of Mystras are 45 km (28 mi) away; Kalamata airport is 80 km (50 mi) away

"Mikro Horio" is an excellent base for short trips to the caves of Dyros, many beautiful beaches and the peculiar, seemingly endless landscapes of Mani with its mysterious villages and characteristic fortified houses.
Our "little village" is particularly apt for groups practicing meditation, alternative activities and seminars.
