Raynbowend 1.92

Raynbowend is a natural, picturesque 3 acre fishing lake in Normandy, France. We are located near a small village called Meautis, where there is a friendly bar, which also sells groceries and also has a pattiserie. Ten minutes away by car is the nearest town called Carentan. Cherbourg ferry port is just 40 minutes away, Caen ferry port is 60 minutes. Should you decide to book with Brittany Ferries, we can give you a 20% discount on your crossing.

For the fisherman who would rather stay in comfortable, well equipped accommodation or with a family, we have a newly built timber chalet in its own grounds alongside a narrow stream, which is perfect for a child to fish alongside Dad!

We also cater for the fisherman that would rather use their bivvies for accommodation. There is a well maintained toilet with running water and we now have planning permission to build a toilet/shower block which will be in place 2012.

We are fortunate to have beautiful sandy beaches either side of us, also worth a visit are the quayside restaurants in the fishing ports. Another point of interest are the war museums, all within a short distance from us. In Carentan there is a newly built indoor swimming pool and thirty minutes away at St Lo is an indoor/outdoor swimming pool perfect for a family day out
