Quirky Camping - Eco Yurts 3.37

Hidden away amongst the rolling Dordogne countryside, Quirky Camping features four luxury eco-yurts, hand-made using our own local willow. The views are spectacular and there isn’t a blot on the landscape for as far as the eye can see.

Each with their own adjacent facilities – private outdoor kitchen, dining terrace and BBQ, solar powered bathroom and separate private compost toilet. Our yurts are
all made from local, recycled or reclaimed materials wherever possible and situated on a small-holding where the owners are striving to live a sustainable and self sufficient life-style.

You will be ideally placed for access to all the beautiful sites in the Dordogne and Charente. There are chateaux to visit, prehistoric caves to explore or pretty market towns to meander around.

Not to be missed is market day in Riberac on Friday, canoeing along the river at Brantome, the delightful riverside town with prehistoric caves, and a magnificent Benedictine Abbey and Aubeterre, a beautiful hillside village with its Monolithic church, arty shops and river beach.

The cities of Angouleme & Perigueux are both within an hours’ drive, offering an abundance of both sightseeing and shopping opportunities.
Further afield take a day out to explore Cognac(70km), Bergerac (75km), the vineyards of St Emilion(80km), or visit the capital of wine, the city of Bordeaux(120km).
