Here at Bidas we offer both gîte and bell tent accommodation set in the grounds of the farmstead surrounded by 9 hectares of vineyards, corn and meadows. Tucked away in the Landes in the New Aquitaine region of South West France, Bidas offers an idyllic retreat where you can truly unwind and take in the beautiful French countryside yet superbly located within 5 minutes drive of local amenities and an hour from local beaches, the Pyrenees mountains and Spain. A warm welcome awaits with privacy assured.

Maison Bidas, a charming, rural, two bedroom, self-catering gîte is nestled within the original farmhouse building dating back hundreds of years. Lovingly renovated to a high standard, retaining its original features which gives it its rustic charm and character. The barn comfortably blends old and new with its original oak beams to the spacious walk-in Italian shower to offer a traditional yet well appointed home from home.

With a double height ceiling and decorative mezzanine level, the open plan living dining area is light and airy, enjoying the morning sun which beams in through the large glass door. The living space opens out onto the walled terrace, which is fully equipped with outdoor furniture and BBQ and herb garden, ideal for those lovely long lunches in the sun or a relaxed evening meal cooked outside. The large garden is surrounded by vines and perfect either for relaxing or enough room for a great game of football.

The living dining area includes a large corner sofa (which can open into a sofa bed to accommodate up to two additional guests) with flat screen wall mounted TV with UK freeview channels. The dining table seats up to six people with a well-equipped fitted kitchen including dishwasher, microwave, fridge with freezer compartment and Nespresso machine. The washing machine is located in the hallway cupboard. We also have a long list of nursery items available upon request.

The sleeping accommodation comprises one double bedroom with a king size bed and one twin bedroom with two single beds (which can also be made into a super king size bed if required) both with luxurious Egyptian Cotton sheets. The bathroom, complete with Molton Brown toiletries and Egyptian cotton towels, has a walk-in double Italian shower and separate toilet.

Bidas Vineyard Glamping, a stylish bell tent available in July and August, sleeping 4 people has a well-equipped kitchen, al fresco dining and private bathroom facilities so you really can enjoy your home comforts whilst being at one with nature: Wifi, Molton Brown toiletries, dining table/chairs, BBQ, sun loungers, bedding and towels provided.

The sleeping accommodation comprises one double and two single beds. The singles beds can be folded away during the day for added comfort.

The covered outdoor kitchen is well equipped with gas rings and a BBQ. A solid wood dining table and chairs is well situated to give you a great view of the vines and surrounding corn fields. You may be lucky enough to catch a glimpse of our visiting deer who like to bound past from time to time.

Bidas, with its great air quality offers some superb and stunning clear night skies where you really can star gaze to your heart's content.

Sun loungers are provided and there is lots of space surrounding the tent to play games and run around. Bidas is set in 9 hectares of vineyards, corn fields and meadows so plenty of space for a stroll.

Bidas is a 5 minute drive from the pretty village of Pouillon. It’s a busy little hive of activity with everything you would expect from fresh bread and croissants at the boulangeries to simply soaking up the atmosphere in the central square café. The local, quaint Landaise restaurant offers up some heavenly gastronomic delights which are not to be missed. There’s also an outdoor swimming pool, small supermarket with a petrol station, banks and a chemist.
