La Poule Verte is a traditional style guest house offering bed and breakfast accommodation in the Cognac region. Situated in Archiac town centre, it's central to the highlights of the Cognac and Haute Saintonge regions. Archiac is a town with beautiful views over the vignoble and is ideally situated for exploring the surrounding countryside and attractions. Ideal for couples, solo adventurers, and business travelers, you'll enjoy a warm welcome in a traditional Charentaise-style home where English and French are spoken. Included is a quality continental breakfast for you to enjoy.

Step back in time into a period style home where personal attention and service are our priority. We aim to provide you with simple, attentive service and the relaxation and the privacy you desire. Whilst we do not provide full board, simple sharing platters with bread, cheese and/or charcuterie may be ordered in advance. Delight in the walks or cycle rides available in the surrounding countryside. We can provide picnic lunches for your days out. Take advantage of the swimming pool during the summer months. Should you wish to lunch or dine in the garden or courtyard, we are happy to provide outdoor eating amenities.

Our facilities are not suitable for children under 12 and we cannot accommodate pets, owing to allergy concerns.

A car is strongly advised. There is ample free parking in the car park opposite.

All rooms are non-smoking. A sheltered outdoor area is available for smokers.
