La marque d’instruments à vents Jérôme Wiss a été créée en 2016. Tous les instruments sont entièrement fabriqués à la main dans l’atelier situé à Compiègne. Jérôme Wiss propose des instruments innovants, issus de recherches acoustiques poussées. Des logiciels de calculs acoustiques et de Cao sont utilisés pour la conception de tous les instruments et les premiers prototypes sont réalisés en impression 3D. Les instruments Jérôme Wiss allient ainsi parfaitement les nouvelles technologies aux techniques et savoir-faire traditionnels des méthodes de fabrication.

La marque propose déjà à la vente un ophicléide moderne et un basson russe, ainsi qu’une ligne d’embouchures pour euphonium/saxhorn créée en collaboration avec le quatuor Opus 333. Une trompette est actuellement en préparation et sera mise en vente en automne 2016. Cette trompette a comme particularité un nouveau système de pistons particulièrement innovant à seulement 2 coquilles, différent du système Perinet utilisé habituellement sur ce type d’instruments

D’autres instruments sont déjà en préparation et viendront s’ajouter au catalogue au fil du temps (tuba, euphonium,cor, trombone…).

Jérôme Wiss is a new Company of brass instruments craftmanship, founded in 2016. All the instruments of the brand are made by hand in the workshop in Compiegne (1 hour from Paris). Jérôme Wiss is offering innovative brass instruments, made from acoustic researches. Cao and acoustic softwares are used for the conception for the conception of all the instuments, and the first prototypes are made with 3D printing. The traditional and ancestral manufacturing is perfectly mixed with new technologies.

Jérôme Wiss already offers a new version of the ophicleide and the basson russe, and a saxhorn/euphonium mouthpiece, created in collaboration with the quatuor Opus333. A trumpet is currently in manufacturing and will be on the market in fall 2016. This trumpet has the particularity of using a new valving system, with only 2 shells, different from the perinet system usually used on brass instruments

Other brass instruments are in preparation and will be proposed over time (tuba, euphonium, french horn, trombone…).
