Insted (Institute of Foreign Education) is a language school In Chamonix France, with a strong connection to the Alps. Insted was founded in 1997 and has from the start combined language courses with various mountain sports. For the first few years the focus was mainly on skiing/snowboarding, since the school was only open during the winter season. Today however, the language school is open all year round and there are an abundance of activities like climbing, mountain biking and hiking to do during the summer season.

We have shown that the combination of language courses and sports is beneficial to the overall learning process. Throughout the years more than 1000 students have studied at Insted and several of our staff have started a life of adventure in Chamonix with a French course at Insted!

Our main product is language courses, but we also rent out our classrooms for conferences and other educational purposes in Chamonix.
