We moved to France in January 2009 to enjoy the wonderful way of life for horses and humans. The farm was a blank canvass and all our facilities have been purpose built with comfort and safety top of the list. All our paddocks are post and railed and are well sheltered. We only take long term boarders and keep mares in small, happy groups. The summers are hot and long but with plenty of rain we have good quality grass for most of the year. All our horses are stabled from about 1st December (weather dependent) until April - during this time they go in the paddocks every day unless the weather is really bad when they will use the covered horse-walker. We have excellent horse-expert vets 4km away and their costs are pleasantly surprising (we are happy to send you an invoice to demonstrate this). We have established reliable, quality suppliers and services; Sanders Repro Unique, Alfa-Luz, we make our own hay and we are supplied with top quality, local barley straw. Our farrier is an expert in thoroughbreds and never fails to improve the worst of feet.
We are happy to help clients select a stallion and negotiate the best deal. France is huge and so we limit our walk-ins to Normandie and have enjoyed really good results.
CCTV and infa red lights are in all of our 6 foaling boxes. Foals are well handled and we are happy to prepare them for the sales in December - we do not take outside foals for sales prep. Please feel free to contact us for further information without any obligation.
