Sebirol stands in very rural surrounds on the southern border of the Lot as it borders the Tarn et Garonne (see map). The House is fully restored and also has a large grange (barn), good parking, and to the rear by the wood is the ruin of the original farmhouse.

The house is situated on 76 acres of private land up a long drive, well clear from any public roads. There are open fields surrounding, a wood behind the house which is great for walking and lots of beautiful spots to go for a picnic. There is a pond behind the house; it is fenced off and safe.

There is masses of space for the kids to run around, and in the summer the blackberries and damsons are abundant.

The house has six+ bedrooms and sleeps 15 in all officially, 2 of which are on a pullout daybed in the playroom. If needed, there is room in the playroom for more children to “camp”. The pool, which has a lovely view over the valley, has a security approved cover, which will apparently stop even a cow; it's also fenced as a first deterrent to little wanderers.

This house is finished to a very high standard and was essentially our main “home”.We have now left for distant shore thousands of miles away and therefore simply don't get there any longer. It stands alone on its own farm, which is all yours. Please visit our Domaine de Sebirol Facebook page for a more personal look at the place.

Lay out is as follows (4000 square ft. in all; floor plans are based on early plans and some of the rooms have evolved a little differently. The general idea is the same, however:

ABOUT TREJOULS
Our nearest big town is Cahors (20mins). The nearest village is either Lauzerte or Castelnau Montratier (both 10kms) and they have bakery, butcher, cafes, supermarket and lots of atmosphere.

There are lots of local markets around, Cahors is excellent, beautiful fresh produce.
Also 2 plans d'eau - lakes with sandy beaches - fun for the kids: one at Montquc (12km) and the other at Montaigu de Quercy (around 20km). Also a fun water slide and large swimming pool at Castelnau Montratier(there is a bigger one in Cahors).

There is a golf course Le Golf des Roucous, 5km from our house, it has a lovely relaxed clubhouse and good food.

There are prehistoric caves nearby and further afield, of which the most renowned is about 1.5hrs away in the northern Dordogne - 'Gouffre de Padirac', which is well worth a visit.

There is also kayaking, hiking, boat trips in the beautiful Lot and Aveyron valleys, and the whole region is full of lovely, old, old villages and towns including St Cirq Lapopie, the old part of Cahors, Lauzerte, Montquc, Tournon D’Agenais, to name just a few. It’s really a question of how far afield you want to go; the beautiful but touristy Dordogne is quite reachable.

Castelnau has a good tourist office to guide you with the activities. Of course if you take the house we'd be very happy to give you info … especially on the foodie side! This is not the place to go if you are on a diet. Besides being surrounded by history, the food and drink is the other main reason to be here. It’s France, remember.
