Etang des Landes is a breathtakingly beautiful and superbly maintained carp fishing water set in the heart of rural France, located 30 minutes west of the historic town of Le Mans. Within easy reach of all ferry ports, the lake is set within the picturesque surroundings of a privately owned 10 acre woodland site and lays away from all nearby roads and disturbances.

To ensure the likelihood of you achieving a personal best catch, we have added to the already impressive existing stock with a large quantity of superb specimen mirror & common carp. These fish were introduced in early 2004 from the famous Maurepaire fishery here in France. The blend of original resident stock combined with the introduction of further large fish makes for an abundance of big carp and means all fishermen visiting our water are assured of reliable good sport.

The 200 year old 5 acre lake is both stream and spring fed over a silt bottom, providing exceptional water quality. It ranges from 1- 4 meters in depth and we are happy to provide our visitors with a plotted map of the lake’s depths. Good cover is available around the lake and our natural, easily accessible swims enable you to locate you and your tackle conveniently close to the action.
