Course description:
Master Crossways in Cultural Narratives is a two-year Masters Course in Comparative Literature, Cultural Anthropology, Textual, Visual and Inter-Media Studies. It is designed to prepare graduates for doctoral studies and to provide future managers with the knowledge and expertise required of people who are to play key roles in international institutions, national administrations, or large media groups. Graduates must be proficient in at least two languages of the Crossways Consortium (English, French, Spanish, Portuguese, Italian, Polish). All students will spend Semesters 2 & 3 in the same University and Semesters 1 & 4 in two different Universities (chosen from the partner institutions below).

The programme also offers the opportunity of obtaining credits via internships or work-related projects provided by 12 associate members comprising: museums, art galleries & exhibition centres; visual arts agencies; film schools and institutes; book fairs; associations and institutions promoting education in the arts; international finance institutions.

On completion, successful students will receive both an international diploma supplement which conforms to the European standards of the Bologna process, and Masters Degree certificates from each of the three universities they attend.

Erasmus Mundus is a cooperation and mobility programme that aims to enhance the quality of European higher education and to promote dialogue and understanding between people and cultures through cooperation with non-European countries.

Selected and supported by the European Commission’s Education, Audiovisual and Culture Executive Agency (EACEA), the Crossways in Cultural Narratives consortium was one of 30 successful projects approved for funding in 2011 (out of 177 applicants).
