Bigorre Haut 2.31

This is a cozy and comfortable stone cottage set in the grounds of a horse farm with magnificent views over the rolling countryside. It is close to, but totally private from the main house. The friendly owners speak English, French and Dutch. Many optional, additional services are available, from horse drawn carriage rides into the local village to collect the croissants to prepared evening meals. Off road riding can be organised from the cottage on calm and well trained ponies and there is the opportunity to spend a day trekking with either lunch at a local restaurant or a picnic set up in the beautiful surrounding countryside.

Bigorre Haut is only 3km from Cazes Modenard which has a bakery,post office, shop, bank, bar, a restaurant and for the more energetic, tennis courts. There are two bikes available for use at the farm but if more are required, cycle hire is possible just 15-20 minutes away. There is also a small river where you can buy a fishing permit and golf is only 15 to 20 minutes away. The attractive medieval bastide town of Lauzerte is only 11km from Bigorre Haut, with its shops, supermarket, restaurants and regular musical events. It is also not far from the town of Moissac with its splendid Abbey and Romanesque cloisters and the river Tarn and the canal du midi. Each weekend morning there is a large market in the town centre.

The 10m x5m pool with Roman steps and sliding pool cover is to the left of the terrace. Sunbeds and parasols are provided and there is a covered area for extra shade. Guests are welcome to the produce from the extensive vegetable garden.
