Art La Borie 1.33

In April 2017 The Ridder has moved from Maastricht/NL to France. New name and addres: La Borie, Château de la Borie, 87110 Solignac, France. Opening: 15 September 2017. For more information www.artlaborie.com (after 1 August 2017)
The Ridder/ A House for Contemporary Art has been established in 2013 in Maastricht (NL). The villa of the Ridder brewery where we were first temporarily housed, gave us our name. As a hybrid between an art gallery and an institute the main focus is upon presenting works in a meaningful context. In addition to these exhibitions, further activities are developed such as lectures, films, artist talks, and performances. We are working as a roving model and pop up at different places.

The Ridder works closely together with a core group of artists around which constantly chan-ging exhibitions are built: István Csákány (Thomas Grünfeld (D), Rodrigo Hernández (MEX), Sofia Húlten (S), William Hunt (UK), Astrid Mingels (NL), Christopher Orr (UK), Stéphanie Saadé (LEB) and Oscar Santillan (EC).
